‘Movement for Movement’ charity raised over 30,000 EUR

In the Rimi Riga Marathon charity initiative ‘Movement for Movement,’ organized for the fifth year in collaboration with Rimi, the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Latvian Television to support children with mobility impairments, 30,718 euros has been donated.

From June 5th to July 31st, donations to the ‘Movement for Movement’ charity initiative could be made in several ways: through Rimi donation boxes, using the balance on Mans Rimi card, via the Children’s Hospital Foundation’s website, or by registering for the Rimi Riga Marathon.

A total of 20,500 EUR was donated through the donation boxes, 4,723 EUR were contributed from Mans Rimi card balances, 2,089 EUR were donated via the Children’s Hospital Foundation website, and runners contributed 3,406 EUR by registering for the 2024 Rimi Riga Marathon.

Thank you to everyone who helps bring the joy of movement to those who cannot move but really wish to. The opportunity to run together in a shared running event makes us a more inclusive society, so one of our responsibilities is not to stand aside and to help!

Donations for children with mobility impairments can still be made on the Children’s Hospital Foundation website, as well as by registering for the marathon.

The Rimi Riga Marathon team has been faithfully committed to their goal of inspiring Latvia to move since the first day of the marathon. Rimi Riga Marathon have already managed to attract thousands to running and movement, and will continue the charity initiative “Movement for movement” that have started. Since the start of the collaboration, runners have donated tens of thousands of euros each year to the Children’s Hospital Foundation, totaling over 92,000 euros.
