Registration transfer to a friend
If you have registered for the Rimi Riga Marathon 2024, you can transfer your participation to a friend free of charge until March 31, 2024.

Team registration
There are two ways to register a team:
- The responsible person registers the entire team, and during the registration process, it is indicated that the payment will be made by invoice/payment card,
- Each team member registers individually by entering the unique registration code provided by us. The code will include your desired code expiration date and the number of participants. After the specified period (with the option to extend the code upon your request), we close the registration and prepare an invoice.

Changes to team applications
Team member substitutions (replacing one name with another) within the same distance are possible free of charge until March 31, 2024.
From April 1 to May 12, 2024, team member substitutions can be made by paying an additional fee of €15 for each changed participant.
Starting from May 13, 2024, participant substitutions will not be possible.

Bib number pick-up for teams
Participants will receive bib numbers with integrated chips (for time tracking) at the Rimi Riga Marathon EXPO on May 17th and 18th, 2024, from 10:00 to 20:00. To collect the bib numbers, participants must present the confirmation letter with the assigned bib number and a personal identification document.
Team representatives can arrange for their team’s bib numbers to be assembled and delivered to an office in Latvia through DPD courier service. To receive bib numbers with delivery, the participation and delivery invoice must be paid by May 13, 2024, at 18:00. Additionally, the delivery form must be filled out – available here.
Bib numbers will be distributed starting from May 13, 2024.
The fee for the service is as follows:
- For selections of up to 50 bib numbers, assembly, and delivery: €100.00 + VAT, i.e., €121.00.
- For teams with 51 or more bib numbers, selection, assembly, and delivery: €130.00 + VAT, i.e., €157.30.

Last minute bib number pick-up on race day
EXPO working hours are from 10.00 to 20.00 on both days on May 17 and May 18. However, we know that some participants might be arriving in Riga just after EXPO working hours. Therefore for international runners that are running the DPD Mile on Saturday, there will be an exceptional option to pick up the bib number on May 18 at the EXPO from 8.30 – 9.45.
There is a special last-minute bib number pick-up service also provided for international runners on Sunday. For an extra fee of 5,- euros it is possible to order “start line bib number delivery” from April 3rd in your registration profile. The payment must be done in the registration profile and is offered exclusively only for international runners. The service must be paid by May 12. If the service will not be paid by the above-mentioned deadline the bib numbers will not be delivered to the start area.
On Sunday, May 19, the participants that have selected and paid for this service will be able to receive their bib numbers and their starter’s pack at the Info Centre on 11 November Embankment.

Marathon and other distances
Can’t collect the start bib in person?
If you are unable to pick up your start bib during this time, another person can do it on your behalf, by presenting a letter of authorization and the registration confirmation letter with the start bib shown.
Authorization text (printed or via email): “I (name, surname), authorize (name, surname) to collect my bib number”. The authorized person must present an identification document.

On what dates will the next Rimi Riga Marathon take place?
The Rimi Riga Marathon 2024 will take place on the third weekend of May – on the 18th and 19th of May.
Distances and time limits
May 18, 11th November Embankment:
- 10:00 – 14:00 – Olympic Kids’ Day (“Happy Babies obstacle course”, 200m, 400m and 60 m “Sprint King and Queen”)
May 18, Latvian National Museum of Art:
- 10:00 – “DPD Mile” (1.609km) / Distance time limit – 30 minutes
May 19, 11th November Embankment:
- 8:00 – Marathon (42km) / Distance time limit – 6 hours
- 8:00 – Half Marathon (21km) / Distance time limit – 3 hours
- 12:30 – 10km / Distance time limit – 2 hours
- 14:30 – 5km / Distance time limit – 1 hour and 30 minutes

Family-friendly running route selection
At the “DPD Mile” the whole family can participate without age restrictions, provided that at least one adult, fully capable and legally competent family member takes part in the run.

Baggage storage
Runners of the Rimi Riga Marathon will have access to a baggage storage at the Doma Square.
Please note that the baggage storage service is available only with official bags and upon prior selection. If you decide to use the baggage storage, please indicate it during the registration process or in your user profile after registration. The selection period ends on April 16th.
The storage service for bags is free of charge; however, we encourage you to evaluate its necessity, as the production of each bag, even from recycled materials, has a negative impact on the environment.

Medical help
The medical assistance vehicles with medical teams will be located at various locations along the track throughout the duration of the event, and medical personnel will be present at all water points and in between them. In case of medical help needed in the finish zone at the 11th November embankment, please turn to the first aid tent near the finish arch for assistance.

Results
The results are available in the Results page.
The results are summarized and places are awarded according to the time spent in the distance, from the moment of the start signal given by the chief judge to the moment of crossing the finish line.
The fixed time of the time control microchip (mika-tag attached to the participant’s number), which shows the participant’s actual time spent in the distance from the start line to the finish line, is published and summarized for the personal information of the participants only.

Participation in the “Sprint King and Queen” distance
The Olympic Kids’ day distance with a fee of 3 € for the “Sprint King and Queen” is designed so that the participant’s running result can be recorded in the overall results table, as the race number will have an attached time-tracking microchip.
Results will be published two weeks after the event.

Time and location
The Rimi Riga Marathon Olympic Kids’ Day will take place on May 18, 2024 from from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m, at the 11th November Embankment.
Kids’ Day courses:
- Happy baby course.
- 200 m kids race.
- 400 m kids race.
- “Sprint King and Queen” (60 m) race.
Kids’ Day start number pick up
- Start numbers for Happy babies course 200m and 400m distances can be picked up from April 30th at one of three Rimi stores (TC “Spice”, TC Akropole Alfa, or Pulkveža Brieža Street Rimi info center) or EXPO (Rimi Olympic Centre, on May 17 from 10:00 – 20:00 or May 18 from 8:30 – 12:00), by presenting the registration confirmation letter (preferably electronically, to be environmentally friendly).
- Start numbers for 60m “Sprint King and Queen” can be picked up at Rimi Olympic Centre on May 17 from 10:00 – 20:00 and May 18 from 8:30 – 12:00.
- DPD Mile start numbers can be picked up at Rimi Olympic Centre (Grostona Street 6B) on May 17 from 10:00 – 20:00 and May 18 from 8:30 – 9:30.
DPD Mile
Time and place
The DPD Mile race will take place on May 18th. The start of the course will be at the Latvian National Museum of Art at 10.00 and the finish at the Freedom Monument.
Age limit
There are no age restrictions for kids in the DPD Mile race, provided that at least one adult also participates in the race.

The participation fee for the DPD Mile race is 10.00 euros for each person participating in the race. Register for the DPD Mile here.
Receiving start bibs
The start bibs of the DPD Mile race will be available for pick up at the Rimi Riga Marathon EXPO on May 17 and 18, from 10.00 to 20.00. You’ll need to present a confirmation letter with the assigned start bib and a proof of ID.
