In the Rimi Riga Marathon Birthday Alley choirs will honor runners

On May 18, next to the Freedom Monument, we’ll celebrate the Rimi Riga Marathon’s 35th birthday in style – with Grandenoir, a thrilling surprise, and a festive atmosphere in the Rimi Riga Marathon Alley, created together with our partner, shopping centre Spice.
Expect a joyful celebration with 300 dancers and choir singers filling the streets with energy and beloved songs – a moment to remember for both runners and fans.
To give every runner an energy boost, 200 choir singers will perform beloved Latvian songs in the Rimi Riga Marathon Alley. We’re sure these tunes will touch not only Latvian runners and fans but also our international guests. Additionally, 80 dancers will spread their energy by giving high-fives to every runner along the course.
To get a taste of how sonorous and emotionally uplifting the Birthday Alley will be, we had a preview on April 5th at the Spice shopping centre. There, customers were surprised by a performance from the Riga Technical University Mixed Choir Vivere, conducted by Gints Ceplenieks.
