Rimi Riga Marathon Christmas Run will take place in a festive and charitable spirit

8 December 2025

Thanks to the start of a new partnership with Signet Bank, the annual Rimi Riga Marathon Christmas Run is stepping up a gear this year by joining the charity campaign “Angels over Latvia”, which is organised every year by TV3 Group Latvia in cooperation with the Children’s Hospital Foundation and supporters.

This year, the start location of the annual Christmas Run has changed – on the morning of 24 December at 9:00 we will gather by the big Christmas tree at the National Opera.

Although the total route length is 13 kilometres, participants can decide themselves how long a distance they want to cover, turning back towards the finish at any moment on the way to Mežaparks.

At the finish, runners will be greeted by a festive atmosphere, delicious pizza (for the first participants, courtesy of the organisers) and a glass of good Bordeaux red wine (2018 Château Branaire-Ducru, Saint Julien), which will be served from a so-called double magnum bottle.

Labdarības akcijai “Eņģeļi pār Latviju” ziedosim 10 eiro par katru svētku skrējiena dalībnieku, kā arī aicinām skrējiena dalībnieku atbalstīt akciju individuāli

We are delighted that, in cooperation with Signet Bank, this year the run will not only help get snowy Riga moving, but will also contribute to the “Angels over Latvia” charity campaign.

We will donate 10 euros for each participant in the run. Runners themselves are also invited to make donations to “Angels over Latvia” during the event. Everyone is warmly welcome to the run in a festive mood – in Christmas costumes, elf hats, reindeer antlers or any other themed outfit – whatever you can find at home.

During the run, traffic will not be closed; participants will move along the sidewalks and must observe traffic rules.

Remember to come to the run in a festive mood – in Christmas costumes, elf hats, reindeer antlers or any other themed outfit – whatever you can find at home.

The annual Christmas Run is free of charge, and prior registration is not required.
