Teams
Every year, hundreds of teams participate in the Rimi Riga Marathon to strengthen the team spirit together with colleagues and friends, running and enjoying Riga alongside thousands of runners from all over the world.
Team Registration
For groups of friends and family:
- The entire team is registered by the responsible person – during the registration process, one person will be able to register an unlimited number of participants.
For companies or other legal entities:
Each team member registers individually by entering the unique registration code provided by us – the code includes the desired code expiration date and the number of participants. After the specified deadline, we close the registration and prepare the invoice*.
The registration code should be applied for by writing to marathon@necom.lv providing all the necessary details mentioned above and the details of the company. The manual will be provided individually.
*If the payment method is “Invoice” and the team consists of at least 30 participants, the invoice will have 10% off. Please note that the invoice has an additional commission fee of 4.84 EUR.
Benefits for teams
Additional bonuses if you participate as a team:
- Teams with at least 15 participants automatically qualify for the Rimi Team Cup.
- Teams with at least 30 participants receive a 10% discount off an invoice.
Registration Changes
Just like any participant, teams, including legal entities, have the option to make various registration changes.
If you want to make the payment for changes by invoice, please inform us in writing at marathon@necom.lv – Registration Changes or specify your company details in the registration change form.
Team Bib Number Retrieval
- Free pick-up at the EXPO (individually): Participants will receive bib numbers with microchips at the Rimi Riga Marathon ‘2024 EXPO on May 17th and 18th, 2024, from 10:00 to 20:00, by presenting the confirmation letter with the assigned bib number. If you want to pick up a colleague’s bib number, you must present a confirmation letter from the colleague with the visible bib number. No other documents are necessary.
Bib numbers cannot be received on the race day on May 19, 2024.
International participant bib number pick-up
EXPO working hours are from 10.00 to 20.00 on both days on May 17 and May 18. However, we know that some participants might be arriving in Riga just after EXPO working hours. Therefore for international runners that are running the DPD Mile on Saturday, there will be an exceptional option to pick up the start number on May 18 at the EXPO from 8.30 – 9.45.
There is a special last-minute number pick-up service also provided for international runners on Sunday. For an extra fee of 5,- euros it is possible to order “start line bib number delivery” from April 3rd in your registration profile. The payment must be done in the registration profile and is offered exclusively only for international runners. The service must be paid by May 12. If the service will not be paid by the above-mentioned deadline the bib numbers will not be delivered to the start area.
On Sunday, May 19, the participants that have selected and paid for this service will be able to receive their start numbers and their starter’s pack in the Info Centre on 11 November Embankment.

Distance change to a shorter
Distance change to a shorter can be made free of charge until March 31, 2025.
From April 1 till May 11, the service will be available for an additional fee of 15 €.
Please note that from May 12, 2025, distance changes will no longer be possible.

Distance change to a longer
It is possible to switch to a longer distance until May 11, 2025, by paying an additional fee of 25 euros. The option to upgrade to a longer distance applies to the 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances. If you are a DPD Mile participant and still wish to change your distance, you will need to re-register for the selected distance.
Please note that from May 12, 2025, distance changes will no longer be possible.

“DPD Mile” distance and changes
It is not possible to switch distances from “DPD Mile” to a longer distance. If the participant wishes to change the distance, they must register for the selected distance again.

Registration transfer to 2026
Until May 11, 2025, you have the option to transfer your paid entry to the 2026 Rimi Riga Marathon by paying an additional fee of 15.00 EUR.
Starting from May 12, 2025, transferring the entry is not possible.

Registration transfer to a friend
If you have paid for participation in the event, you can transfer your entry to another person for the 2025 race taking place on May 17-18, by informing the organizers accordingly and filling out the application form. The transfer of a participant’s entry to another person is free of charge until March 31, 2025.
From April 1 to May 11, a transfer can be made by paying an additional fee of 15.00 EUR.
Starting from May 12, 2025, it is not possible to transfer the entry to another person.

Is there a baggage storage facility available at the Rimi Riga Marathon?
Runners of the Rimi Riga Marathon will have access to a baggage storage at the Doma Square.
Please note that the baggage storage service is available only with official bags and upon prior selection. If you decide to use the baggage storage, please indicate it during the registration process or in your user profile after registration.
The storage service for bags is free of charge; however, we encourage you to evaluate its necessity, as the production of each bag, even from recycled materials, has a negative impact on the environment.
