This Sunday, we will finish the Elektrum Energetic Training sessions
6 May 2026On May 10, we will wrap up the 12-week Elektrum Energetic running training sessions.
This season has seen record-high attendance and significant progress among runners.
In the final session, participants will be able to run together with Garmin pace keepers and try out the pace they plan to keep during the Rimi Riga Marathon marathon or half marathon on May 17. The training distance will be 5–8 km.
The pace keepers, who have been participating in the marathon for 14 years, will help runners maintain a steady pace and achieve their target finish times. In the marathon distance, eight pace groups, in half marathon, four pace groups.

The training will include a warm-up, running exercises, a group run at the chosen pace, and a cool-down. Beginners will also be welcome, with the option to combine running and walking.
We are delighted to see a particularly strong increase this year in participants’ awareness and interest in quality preparation, as reflected both in the high attendance and in the active collaboration with marathon coaches throughout the season.
