Announcing the prize money!

5 March 2025

At the Rimi Riga Marathon on May 17-18, we will provide prize money for the top finishers of all distances – DPD mile (1609m), 6km, 10km, half marathon and marathon. For both men and women, the prize money pool for the fastest finishers will be the same, ensuring full gender equality.

The Rimi Riga Marathon prize money pool this year reflects athletic priorities, anticipating top results on the new single-loop 42km course and the courses inherited from World Road Running Championships – 21km and DPD Road Mile.

In order to motivate runners to achieve high-quality results and records, we will also award additional bonuses for breaking the course records and national records!

Prize money

In the marathon and half-marathon distance, we will award prize money to the top six finishers, while in the 10km, 6km and DPD mile distances, cash prizes will be awarded to those runners who finish in the podium positions. Cash prizes for marathoners, half marathoners and DPD Mile finishers will also depend on finishing times.

Additional bonuses for records

In addition to cash prizes for the top finishers, we will also award cash prizes to those runners who will beat the records of the Rimi Riga Marathon in either of the longer distances and DPD Mile.

Runners who break the Rimi Riga Marathon 42km course record – 2:08:51 for men or 2:26:18 for women – will receive €1,500.
