Family-friendly running route selection
At the DPD Mile the whole family can participate without age restrictions, provided that at least one adult, fully capable and legally competent family member takes part in the run.

Can Nordic walkers and participants with strollers take part in the Rimi Riga Marathon?
The Rimi Riga Marathon is open to Nordic Walkers and participants with the strollers, but the time limit on the course must be observed.

Is there a baggage storage facility available at the Rimi Riga Marathon?
Runners of the Rimi Riga Marathon will have access to a baggage storage at the Doma Square.
Please note that the baggage storage service is available only with official bags and upon prior selection. If you decide to use the baggage storage, please indicate it during the registration process or in your user profile after registration. The selection period ends on April 16th.
The storage service for bags is free of charge; however, we encourage you to evaluate its necessity, as the production of each bag, even from recycled materials, has a negative impact on the environment.

Payment for unfinished registration
If you haven’t paid for your registration, you will receive a reminder e-mail to finalize your registration for your chosen course. Once you complete your registration, you do not need to reply to the reminder e-mail. After a successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in your inbox.

Additional options
When registering for the marathon, you can choose additional options:
- Bag check free of charge
Please add this option if you want to use the official marathon bag check. If you opt in, you will receive the official marathon bag for storing your personal belongings at the start and finish area.
- Official T-shirt
In your registration profile, you can also indicate that you would like to purchase the official marathon Nike running shirt shirt (Nike Dri-FIT Miler) for €43.99. There will be white and black shirts for 2025 available.
- Compensate your carbon footprint
Each one of us leaves a CO2e footprint during a marathon, so we invite you to compensate for your own by contributing to an environmental project in Riga that we will support through the “Run for Future by Neste” sustainability program. By doing so, we will offset the total CO2 footprint created by the marathon.
- Donate for charity initiative “Movement for movement”
Donate for charity initiative “Movement for movement” to help children with mobility impairments. All donated funds will be directed to the co-financing of orthoses and orthopaedic shoes, as well as to the provision of other needs of children with mobility impairments.

Registration must be done by creating your profile and then registering yourself for the race of your choice.
Registration can be completed electronically up to May 17, 2025 at 20:00.

Distance change to a shorter
Distance change to a shorter can be made free of charge until March 31, 2025.
From April 1 till May 11, the service will be available for an additional fee of 15 €.
Please note that from May 12, 2025, distance changes will no longer be possible.

Distance change to a longer
It is possible to switch to a longer distance until May 11, 2025, by paying an additional fee of 25 euros. The option to upgrade to a longer distance applies to the 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances. If you are a DPD Mile participant and still wish to change your distance, you will need to re-register for the selected distance.
Please note that from May 12, 2025, distance changes will no longer be possible.

Registration transfer to a friend
If you have paid for participation in the event, you can transfer your entry to another person for the 2025 race taking place on May 17-18, by informing the organizers accordingly and filling out the application form. The transfer of a participant’s entry to another person is free of charge until March 31, 2025.
From April 1 to May 11, a transfer can be made by paying an additional fee of 15.00 EUR.
Starting from May 12, 2025, it is not possible to transfer the entry to another person.

How to register a team?
There are two ways to register a team:
- The responsible person registers the entire team, and during the registration process, it is indicated that the payment will be made by invoice
- Each team member registers individually by entering the unique registration code provided by us. The code will include your desired code expiration date and the number of participants. After the specified period (with the option to extend the code upon your request), we close the registration and prepare an invoice

Changes to team applications
Team member substitutions (replacing one name with another) within the same distance are possible free of charge until March 31, 2025.
From April 1 to May 11, 2025, team member substitutions can be made by paying an additional fee of €15 for each changed participant.
Starting from May 13, 2025, participant substitutions will not be possible.

Personal data change
Mistakes and errors submitted in the registration process, including date of birth and team name, can be amended up to the May 11, 2025, directly in the registration accounts or in registration changes form: https://rimirigamarathon.com/en/registration-changes/
Starting from May 12, 2025, it will no longer be possible to make corrections.
Kids' Day
When will registration for the free distances of the Kids’ Day open?
There are three free distances – Happy babies course (0-3 years), 200 m (3-8 years) and 400m (5-12 years). Registration for the free distances will open in spring 2025.
It is currently possible to register for the Kids’ Day race ‘Sprint King and Queen’.

Kids’ Day medals
Each child receives one special finisher’s medal for participating in free Kids’ Day distances.
Age restrictions
The running courses are divided into different age groups.
- There is no age limit for the “Sprint Queen and King” and “DPD Mile” distances
- “Happy baby” track from 0 to 3 years
- “200 m” from 3 to 8 years
- “400 m” from 5 to 12 years
