About the 35th anniversary distances
In honor of the Rimi Riga Marathon’s 35th anniversary on May 17–18, 2025, everyone is invited to join the biggest birthday party by running their festive kilometers. Proud of the World Athletics Road Running Championships heritage and world records, the half marathon, 10 km, and DPD Mile courses will remain unchanged.
A new “Jubilee 5K”—or rather, an almost 6 km (5.7 km) course—will take runners on a scenic route near and along the Freedom Monument. This course is great for families with children. Our ultimate distance—the marathon (42.195 km) course— is designed to be a runner’s dream, featuring a single loop that crosses three iconic Riga bridges and passes through the city’s most beautiful spots, including the famous Mežaparks.
