Gold R-shaped medal with a red ribbon, featuring Boriss Bērziņš’s drawing “In the Waves”

Boriss Bērziņš

“In the Waves”

“The essence of Boriss Bērziņš work is a celebration and highlighting of the human body, but the drawing In the Waves especially drew attention with its dynamism and its relevance to the theme. Its story is about the body in motion, interacting with the environment, with obstacles, with nature and its force. Approaching the artist’s original work with respect, the goal was to preserve its subtlety while at the same time bringing it into a contemporary execution. To authentically and truthfully carry Boriss Bērziņš vision of beauty in every body, giving runners the opportunity to appreciate their own wonderful strength.”
