Media Accreditation Now Open
29 April 2026Applications for media accreditation to the Rimi Rīgas maratons are now open. All interested media representatives are invited to complete the online application form by May 9.
Accreditation provides access to restricted finish areas at the heart of the event:
– May 16 – at Freedom Monument
– May 17 – at November 11 Embankment
Media representatives may also request individual approval to operate on the course, with or without motorized vehicles, if required for specific projects.
To ensure a safe and high-quality event, please note that access to the course without prior approval and an official pass is strictly prohibited. The number of bicycles allowed on the course will be limited, and permits will be granted based on individual evaluation.
Accreditation passes can be collected on May 15 and 16, from 13:00 to 20:00, at the Marathon EXPO at Rimi Olimpiskais centrs (Grostonas iela 6B), at the Help Desk.
Upon receiving accreditation, media representatives will be required to sign the media terms and conditions and pay a €30 deposit for the media vest (refundable upon return).
Please note: it will not be possible to collect accreditation on-site at the riverside on May 17 without prior arrangement.
Applicants will be informed individually about the approval or rejection of their accreditation by May 10.
