Announcing the prize money for top finishers

12 March 2024

At the Rimi Riga Marathon on May 18-19, we will provide prize money for the top finishers of all distances – DPD mile (1609m), 5km, 10km, half marathon and marathon. This year, for both men and women, the prize money pool for the fastest finishers will be the same, ensuring full gender equality.

In order to motivate runners to achieve high-quality results and records, we will also award additional bonuses for breaking the best results of the Rimi Riga Marathon courses, as well as for any Latvian records that might fall in the Rimi Riga Marathon!

Prize money

In the marathon and half-marathon distance, we will award prize money to the top six finishers, while in the 10km, 5km and DPD mile distances, cash prizes will be awarded to those runners who finish in the podium positions. Cash prizes for marathoners and half marathoners will also depend on the quality of the finishing result (see the tables below for more details).
