Agate Caune will fire the starting signal for the 5km mass race
7 September 2023Although Agate Caune, originally registered for the 5km race, will not be able to participate in the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Riga due to an injury, the talented athlete has committed to being with the team and participants of the public race on the day of the competition, becoming an ambassador for the World Road Running Championships.
On the event day, October 1st, Agate will have a significant symbolic role – she will first initiate the 5km mass race by firing the starting signal and later present medals to the finishers of the 5km mass race at the finish line.
