24 September 2024With a new slogan ‘Run Grand in Riga!’ and a visual identity devoted to our big jubilee, the Rimi Riga Marathon enters its 35th season, continuing to fulfill a mission we’ve been faithful since our first day — to inspire Latvia to never stop and reach new heights as well as welcome runners from around the world to run their best in Riga!
We can’t wait to once again welcome all of you, amazing runners, to the Rimi Riga Marathon 2025! It’s because of you that Riga has become so special and international over the years – so challenge yourself and run your best in Riga or simply enjoy the fun of movement alongside fellow runners celebrating our special jubilee!
The festival of running, which will take place in Riga on May 17-18 in 2025, will be organized with a grandeur never seen before! Come and celebrate Riga with us!
Refreshed 35th jubilee visual identity!
For our 35th anniversary, we’re introducing a number of new colors, lines and shapes to the identity of Rimi Riga Marathon! A unique numeric typeface of “35” mirrors the shape of a finish line ribbon, while the illustrations feature some of Riga’s most recognized symbols and elements – you’ll certainly notice them when running the streets of our capital!
Ready for a single-loop Marathon course and a special “JUBILEE 5K”?
We’re excited to announce that the legendary and record-breaking courses from the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Riga in 2023 will still be there for you to enjoy at our 2025 race – it means our half marathon, road mile and 10 km courses will remain unchanged!
For our 35th jubilee, however, we’re introducing two major changes!
A new “Jubilee 5K” or rather an almost 6 km (about 5,8 km) course, based on the World Champs 5 km course, will take you further on a scenic run near and along the Freedom Monument. Our ultimate distance – the marathon (42, 195 km) course – is set to be a runner’s dream, featuring a single loop that includes three iconic Riga bridges and takes you through the city’s most beautiful spots, including the famous Mežaparks or Forest Park!
