It’s time for Elektrum Energetic training at Mežaparks!

One of the first messengers of the Spring, along with the first blooming flowers and the songs of returning birds, for the 16th year in a row is Rimi Riga Marathon group training sessions at Mežaparks.

Mark your calendars for March 2nd – it’s time to meet at Elektrum first Energetic Training Session! Whether you’re a beginner taking your first steps into the world of running, or a more experienced running enthusiast, everyone is welcome. As always, you can choose the pace and fitness group that suits you best, with guidance from experienced trainers and pacers.

As the 12-week countdown to the Rimi Riga Marathon 2025 on May 17–18 begins on February 24, we also invite you to follow our 10km training plans. In collaboration with Elektrum, these plans have been designed by one of Latvia’s fastest long-distance runners, Anita Siliņa! In the Elektrum energetic training plans series there are already most acclaimed long-distance runners, Jeļena Prokopčuka training plans for 42km and 21km.

It’s time for Elektrum Energetic training at Mežaparks!

Rimi Riga Marathon friends Mangaļi will ensure hydration during the training, providing natural mineral water. It’s easy to reach Mežaparks by public transport with tram No. 11.

Free parking is available along the entire length of Meža prospekts, starting from the meeting point, near Mežaparks.

Mežaparks has become a favorite training spot for Rimi Riga Marathon runners and friends since the beginning of the marathon. This year too, the marathon welcomes runners every Sunday to the Elektrum energetic training sessions.

Elektrum energetic training sessions in Mežaparks will take place every Sunday from March 2 until the Rimi Riga Marathon!
