CHECK THEM OUT

Here’s what you have to keep in mind!

#1 Kilometers, kilometers, kilometers!

The medium training plans are recommended for runners who run 20-30 kilometers per week when preparing for a half marathon, and 40-50 kilometers per week when preparing for a marathon. The medium plans are for experienced runners who want to prepare thoughtfully for a half marathon or marathon. The focus of these training sessions is on a steady pace, rather than achieving a high result!

The advanced training plans are recommended for runners who run 40-50 kilometers per week when preparing for a half marathon, and 60-70 kilometers per week when preparing for a marathon. The advanced plans are for experienced runners who want to challenge themselves to achieve a high result and train systematically.

#2 What should you do if these training plans are too hard?

You can adjust the training intensity yourself by either reducing the intensity of the sessions, planning an extra rest day, or replacing a harder run with a light jog.

Let’s remember that we are not professional runners, so on days when the weather is bad or work pressure is high, please take a day off!

#3 Start on January 27th

To join the 16-week training plan, training should begin on January 27th. By following regular training, it is possible to prepare for the marathon or half-marathon with strength and confidence, while avoiding burnout or injuries.

#4 What’s next with Elektrum energetic training plans?

As part of the Elektrum energetic training plan series, there will also be 12-week 10 km and 8-week 6 km running plans, created by one of Latvia’s top runners, Anita Siliņa.

There will also be a training plan for beginners, which we’ll offer 14 weeks before the Rimi Riga Marathon!

#5 Join us in Mežaparks!

We also invite you to join the weekly Sunday Elektrum energetic training program starting March 2nd in Mežaparks, where you can get moving and prepare together for the Rimi Riga Marathon.

We are glad that Elektrum will take care of every runner throughout the entire running season, from the very first individual training sessions to the Mežaparks group trainings, all the way to the energetic finish at the Rimi Riga Marathon.
