The new course for 2021 will show off the city of Riga and its variety even more: runners will enjoy Riga's central street - Brīvības Street, take a tour through Riga's Art Nouveau architecture of Elizabetes street, run across the two oldest bridges of Riga - Vanšu and Akmens bridges, and expierience the romantic districts of Dzegužkalns and Āgenskalns.
The course elevation is minimal as Riga is mostly flat. For the half-marathon the only sections with some slight elevation are the two bridges of Vanšu and Akmens.
The participation fee includes:

THE START AND FINISH
The start for all distances will be given at the Freedom Monument next to Old Riga. The finish for all distances will be on the 11th November Embankment on the opposite side of Old Riga and next the river Daugava. Both locations are 1 km apart.
The current start schedule provides for a maximum of 120 participants in the start area, keeping a distance of 2 meters between runners, as well as the start for two participants every 5 seconds, thus completely avoiding the epidemiological risks associated with the growds.
Receiving start numbers
This year, due to security reasons, the Rimi Riga Marathon EXPO will not take place.
For those living in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, race numbers will be sent out using the DPD Pickup network. Runners will select their delivery point when registering. If a participant needs to change their delivery address, this can be done through their user profile no later than August 1st. Race numbers will be delivered between August 16th and 27th.
For Kids’ Day races with no time limit, participants will be able to indicate their race number pickup location at the time of registration.
Meanwhile, participants from other countries will be able to pick up their race numbers at the Info Centre after arriving in Riga. Detailed information on the location and opening hours will be published in August 2021.
Attention! It will NOT be possible to receive the start numbers at the Freedom Monument on the days of the event on August 28 and 29!
Individual start times
The specific starting time for each participant will be assigned in August 2021 in an email informing runners of how the start will be organised, their exact interval for arrival at the starting line and other safety measures. Runners should bear in mind that their starting time could be assigned for any point within the time period for their distance, and the provisional time for each distance may change.
During registration please select this option if you will want to use the official bag check. Along with your race number you will receive your official runner’s bag in which to keep your belongings. If you do not plan on using the bag check, we ask that you do not select this option to reduce the impact on the environment. The bag check service is free.
For safety reasons, the bag check location may be limited and not offered to all participants. More detailed information will be available in the middle of the summer.
